The DataMan 300 code reader is a huge breakthrough in barcode reading performance
The DataMan® 300 family of code readers is designed to handle the most difficult to read DPM (direct part marking) code, as well as the tricky one-dimensional bar code and two-dimensional data matrix code, and can also be used for indexing or high-speed production lines.
Unparalleled read performance
Use enhanced 1DMax+™ and 2DMax+™ code reading algorithms to decode the most difficult to recognize one - and two-dimensional barcodes
Can the 2DMax+™ algorithm read DPM code, regardless of flag type or surface
Combined with Hotbars™ technology, the 1DMax+ algorithm can read damaged one-dimensional bar codes faster than ever before.
Flexible lighting and optical elements
The field changeable controllable red lighting module can create the best lighting conditions for the workpiece to ensure the highest read rate of DPM code.
The blue lighting module can create the best lighting conditions for PV solar wafer code reading
Flexible lens options - C interface lens, S interface lens or zoom liquid lens for maximum depth of field flexibility
The deployment of simple
The Cognex Connect™ communications suite supports industry protocols
It also supports rS-232 integration with traditional systems
PV solar wafer code read
DataMan 302 Solar ID Reader with high read rate and flexible optical elements and lighting is suitable for all solar tracking applications
DataMan® 302 barcode Reader with integrated Blue light has been launched for use in solar pv wafer tracking applications. For decoding the tricky laser-labeled DataMatrix ECC-200 code (industry standard SEMI PV29-0212) on photovoltaic wafers, an image-based high-resolution (1280x1024 pixels) ID reader is ideal.
The DataMan solar code reader can be used to read DPM (direct part marking) codes on photovoltaic wafers or thin-film glass panels, making it the most fully functional code reader in the entire solar industry.
Unparalleled read performance
Multiple codes displayed at any Angle within an image can be decoded
The 2DMax+™ algorithm can handle Data Matrix codes that are corrupted in marking and timing patterns, as well as code that is further corrupted during a demanding production process
Flexible lighting and optical elements
The blue lighting module provides the best lighting for reading the markings on the blue PV wafer, ensuring the highest DPM code read rate
The red lighting module provides the best illumination for reading the 2d barcode on the thin-film glass panel
Flexible lens options - C interface lenses, S interface lenses or zoomable liquid lenses provide maximum depth of field flexibility to ensure that only one type of reader is used to mechanically transmit scans in limited space (at higher speeds) and to decode smaller marks within a larger field of vision (FOV)
The deployment of simple
Intelligent adjustment can automatically adjust the Settings of integrated lighting equipment to provide the best light Settings for the workpiece.
The Cognex Connect™ communications suite supports industry protocols
It also supports rS-232 integration with traditional systems
Zoomable liquid lens
Liquid lens technology
Liquid lens module is an electronically controlled zoom system.
Cognex is the first company to use liquid lens technology in both stationary and handheld industrial bar code readers.
Liquid lenses use two equally dense liquids, oil as an insulator and water as a conductor. A voltage change causes a change in the curvature of the interface between the two liquids, which in turn causes a change in the focal length of the installed optical lens.
The image below shows the composition of the liquid lens:
Advantages and usefulness
The main advantages of liquid lenses are their durability (no moving parts), short reaction time, excellent optical quality, low power consumption and small size.
Liquid lens installation, setup and maintenance without turning on the reader and manual contact lens, so the operation is very simple. Compared to other automatic focusing devices, the liquid lens is extremely fast. This lens is also useful for reading distances that vary with or change from an artifact.
